My Internship ExperienceMy first semester of my Senior year in college started with a Marketing internship at Indy Women in Tech (IWiT). Through this experience I was able to give insight for the leadership of the organization about specific documents that the organization should have to avoid ethical dilemmas.
One of the documents that I was able to draft for the organization was a Gift Acceptance Policy. Once I explained the importance of this kind of document and showed them the format, they used the format that I used and made their own acceptance policy that best applies to the organization. I also drafted a fundraising letter that we sent to multiple businesses, schools, and individuals that we asked to help support the organization. The letter that I wrote can be found by clicking on this. My favorite part of this internship was making graphic visuals for the organization. I helped organize one of the biggest events that IWiT hosts called Ignite Your Superpower. It reaches young girls in middle school and aims to give them a desire to learn and love Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Some of the pages that I created can be found here. This is an infographic that I made for IWiT to use when explaining the organization to individuals that may not be familiar with the organization. I think this infographic demonstrates that I have a creative side to my work, but I can also display a message in a technical way.
Above is a photo of me at the IWiT Championship in Indianapolis. During this part of my internship I was able to interact with businessmen and women, and spectators at this event and sharpen my fundraising skills at the Indy Women in Tech booth.

Classwork
One of my favorite experiences in the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy is from the class "Learning By Giving." In this class we were able to distribute a $10,000 grant to an organization called PACE. We chose to give the $10,000 to Pace as a class though a very tedious process. Here is a photo of our class and the representatives of PACE with the $10,000.
Ethics and Values in Philanthropy was another one of my favorite classes that I found most valuable in the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. In this class, I examined many ethical dilemmas within the nonprofit sector. I discussed one of these dilemmas in a Reading Response that I wrote. You can find this paper at the link below.
